The Importance of Volunteering

As Cathy mentioned, often the best way to dip your toes into the pool is to volunteer. Volunteering will be one of the best ways to answer the majority of the questions on the list above. If you’re not sure where to find opportunities, a good place to start is with a program that prepares people for employment. They may be able to find you a placement with a company or organization that will help you get your foot in the door for paid employment. As Cathy mentioned earlier, volunteering can be a great asset in your return to work journey.
