Module 1 - Preparing to Return
Accommodation

Knowing your accommodation needs is going to be very helpful in your return to work. It will give you more confidence in the application process because you’re going to have more clarity about which direction you are going to take in terms of the kind of job you apply for.

Once an interview opportunity arises, you can lay out your needs and, hopefully dispel some of the concerns the employer might have about accommodating you.

Here, Randy explains the benefits of being prepared to answer questions.

Generally, employers aren’t ill-willed but ill-informed.

If you go in confident about your abilities and prepared to answer accommodation questions you will feel more in control of the situation and if the outcome is negative, it will be easier to pick yourself up and move on to the next opportunity.
